Brooklyn Museum

The Brooklyn Museum is the second largest art museum in New York City, and one of the largest in the United States. The permanent collection houses more than 1.5 million objects, spanning a timeframe from ancient Egypt to modern/contemporary art.

The building's architecture follows the Beaux-Arts style, and is based on an underlying steel frane structure. The 500,000 sq. ft. space was opened in 1897, and has become as immensely popular destination for art lovers, tourists, and local students, attracting half a million patrons per year.
